Image[edit]

There is no reason whatsoever to use a nine year old image over a far more recent one. Edit warring will get you nowhere dilbaggg, please discuss your issue here. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 11:05, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@ItsKesha 2014 has been there longer, longer than you joined Wiki tvh, and so if this nis the one you want to replace with a not so notable 2019 image you should be the one to seek Consensus, which you always avoid and try to WP:EW when consensus goes agaisnt you and that is why you were sanctioned in the past for such behavior. It seems more like you are just bored and looking for provocation. Since 2014 image is the established one, there should be a consensus if someone wants to change it. Btw I do agree with you removing buba Ray dudle's statement, I thanked you for that. Stop being aggressive and work together to build a proper encyclopedia. Dilbaggg (talk) 11:15, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your first argument is invalid per WP:CONTENTAGE. All your other arguments are blatantly ad hominem. A 2019 picture is far more illustrative of the individual than a nine-year old image. The only person being aggressive is you. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 11:19, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ItsKesha Wikipedia is no place for personal opinion, just because you think 2019 image is better does not make it better, go seek proper consensus if you want to replace existing lead image. Dilbaggg (talk) 11:23, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also @ItsKesha you have shown such aggression in the past disregarding consensus to push your opinion which resulted in you getting sanctioned last year. Dilbaggg (talk) 11:24, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
More ad hominem attacks which have no place in a discussion. Do you mind discussing the issue at hand rather than making these comments? All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 11:27, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I already said the issue, plain and simple @ItsKesha, 2014 image has been the existing image and there is no policy that you have to give a person's latest image on the lead, and since you are the one trying to change it you should seek a proper consensus. Let the 2014 image stay as it, the 2019 image is unnecessary but if you don't have better things to do in life and wanna keep arguing over trivial issues, then since you are the one wnating to replace existing image with a new one its your task to seek proper consensus, goodluck, I have better things to do, but I will continue to bring back 2014 even if I need to wait 24 hours unless there is a proper consensus that accepts 2019, so seek consensus as 2014 is established image and 2019 is image you want to repalce it with and so its your task to seek consensus. Take care. Dilbaggg (talk) 11:34, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
WP:CONTENTAGE still applies. WP:NPA still applies. You haven't produced one solitary legitimate argument why you think the 2014 image should be the image used in the article. The 2019 image is far more recent and therefore far more illustrative of this living person than the 2014 one. So please can you actually answer why you think the 2014 image should remain. You bang on about consensus and yet don't contribute to actual seeking said consensus. Please, answer the aforementioned question. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 12:01, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
ItsKesha pointing out past behavior and expalining why you were punished is not a PA, and also as 2014 is the established image, and WP:CONTENTAGE says if image has been around for 6 years then you can keep it "Include: Has remained in the article for 6 years already and no one has challenged it. ", so nobody but you is complaining, so its the established one if you want the 2019 one instead on lead seek consensus. Best wishes. Dilbaggg (talk) 16:28, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you think the 2014 image should remain? All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 17:52, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Also, the quote you include about 6 years is from an essay page titled "Arguments to avoid on discussion pages". Something being there six years is an argument to avoid in a discussion. Therefore, this is not a valid argument. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 17:58, 12 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Either ways a proper formal WP:RfC is needed to change the image, without proper voting your individual views count nothing. @User talk:Righanred has been warned also for replacing images on this, Seth Rollins, Chyna, Brock Lesnar, Chris Jericho and Charles Robinson articles without any consensus. Many times new images risk violating wikimedia poplicies and get erased causing additional problems, either ways to replace images proper consensus is needed. Dilbaggg (talk) 04:50, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
He was warned by you. A warning from you means nowt. And yet again this has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion at hand. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 20:52, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
itsKesha, your warnings amount to nothing beyond Internet trolling, so either communicate civilly on this talkpage or remove your mindless drivel altogether. BlahNothingWho1953 (talk) 08:32, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am a big fan of the image I posted below. Its literally the first time in years a new good Creative Commons image of the Undertaker exists. I feel like we should use it.

Righanred (talk) 18:22, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 20:53, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok cool, I'm going to change it per WP:3O. Righanred (talk) 21:40, 17 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ItsKesha and User:Righanred As a consensus was reached I will accept the change, but next time please go for consensus and follow proper wiki guildines. Dilbaggg (talk) 05:45, 18 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
User:Dilbaggg is correct that itsKesha did not follow consensus and seems to be engaged in article ownership as well as editing behavior reduced to trolling foolishness. Current picture is garbage and needs to be reverted. She also needed to wait for a bigger consensus as opposed to one person. BlahNothingWho1953 (talk) 08:31, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
lol @ u BlahNothingWho1953. All my warmest wishes, ItsKesha (talk) 11:51, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
itsKesha hardly followed consensus as User Dilbaggg already said. This should not have been an open and shut case given itsKesha's article ownership behaviors. The current photo being used in the article right now is pure garbage. Looks like something he wore as a one off for some sort of cause that does not even represent Mark. I would like it reverted back to Dilbaggg's version. BlahNothingWho1953 (talk) 08:29, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You need to find something else to do. This issue is resolved. And stop the personal attacks. K bye. – 2.O.Boxing 08:59, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Under the “Professional Wrestling Career” tab, the first paragraph has a small typo in the last sentence “He wreslted in Durban South Africa…”

Should just be changed to “wrestled” 2601:806:201:FE50:35A6:5D0E:DC52:E0CF (talk) 22:55, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Shortening the article's beginning[edit]

Hey everyone, I believe the beginning of the article is a bit too long and should be simplified. I've typed up what I think would be a better, simplified beginning:

"Mark William Calaway (born March 24, 1965), better known by the ring name The Undertaker, is an American retired professional wrestler. He had first worked for several promotions under several different gimmicks, though he is mostly known for his work in the WWF/E as his critically acclaimed "Deadman" gimmick. In 2022, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. His WrestleMania winning streak, known simply as, "The Streak", remains one of the most iconic winning streaks in the WWE. During his career, Callaway would feud and be partners with his storyline brother, Kane. During his Undertaker gimmick, Callaway won the WWF/E Championship four times, the World Heavyweight Championship three times, the Hardcore Championship once and the World Tag Team Championship six times, in addition to a Royal Rumble victory in 2007."

I hope this isn't too short, but if it is, I hope it can at least be a stepping stone for a better article beginning. I can put it in the article myself since I am autoconfirmed, but I thought I'd discuss it first since it's a major thing. Ulysses Grant Official (talk) 05:31, 6 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
