Beira - dab?

What is the origin of "Beira"? Presumably not a coincidence that there is a Beira in Mozambique? Stan 16:08, 18 May 2004 (UTC)

Beira is a province in Portugal. Since Mozambique was once Portuguese I assume the Mozambique province gets its name from the Portuguese one. MvHG 06:43, 19 May 2004 (UTC)

Year of creation

The title "Príncipe da Beira" was created in 17 December 1734, and not in the 17th century. See this book, page XXXIX. It also gives the year of creation of every single title of the Kings of Portugal and their heirs. For example, "Senhor da Guiné" (January 1485), "Senhor da Conquista, Navegação e Comércio na Etiópia, Arábia, Pérsia e Índia" (29 August 1499), etc, etc... --Lecen (talk) 04:59, 26 May 2012 (UTC)
