The first vines where brought to Australia in 1788 with Arthur Philip. Further the quoted source Oxford Companion to Wine does not support that James Busby brought the first vines to Australia. Although he did bring a lot of different varieties.

John Busby and James Busby were created by me after someone made John & James Busby. That article didn't contain too much info, so I did a bit of web research to create these. Just a note of caution - web research is often dodgy. :-) Any corrections welcome. Evercat 23:19 25 Jul 2003 (UTC)
