Union[edit]

Is this province in communion with any other provinces in the Anglican Communion? (I don't think so but won't say it in the article until I have confirmed.) <>< tbc

No, it's not. As of late, however, it is in communion with the other two surviving "Chambers succession" jurisdictions, the Anglican Catholic Church and the United Episcopal Church in North America. Frweber (talk) 20:12, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are in fact only four dioceses in the APCK now; the former Archdiocese of Christ the King in Washington DC has been reabsorbed into the Diocese of the Eastern States. And the DES did not in fact withdraw; its bishop left, along with most of the parishes, but two or three parishes remained and the Diocese of the Eastern States still exists. Talk:Personal Ordinariate[edit]

Apart from the Traditional Anglican Communion, the article should really consider verifying whether groups within the Anglican Province of Christ the King have ever sought a similar canonical structure to the proposed personal ordinariates. ADM (talk) 18:08, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This has never been part of the Chambers succession groups' program. I have had many occasions to speak with Archbishops Morse and Provence of the APCK, and they've made it pretty clear that there is little interest in corporate reunification with the Roman Catholic Church. I'm sure most of the APCK would be overjoyed if Rome were to recognize the orders of the continuing churches (as it does with the Polish National Catholic Church, for example)--but no administrative unity has ever been contemplated, as far as I'm aware.
