This external link is acting very strange. I guess it is just an ordinary spam. Please act accordingly. --XJamRastafire 07:40, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)

What do you mean? It seems like a normal webpage to me. -- Curps 10:11, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Yesterday it was redirecting to some other pages, but now it seems okay. --XJamRastafire 13:05, 28 Apr 2004 (UTC)

60/70s There's some danger of conflating events here? My recollection is that in the late 60s Martin was actually of ill for several months. His famous hot temper had cooled quite a bit by then, and the argument with Hoyle (who was then at Institute of _Theoretical_ Astronomy) had moderated significantly. Soon after his return (the group was still in the old Cavendish with all the junior reseach students in 'the attic') the railway line through Lord's Bridge became available, and Martin got immersed in planning the '5km telescope.' Ryle/Hoyle argument[edit]

Hi,

I've removed some of the comments about the Ryle/Hoyle argument for the moment. I don't know if other people have more detailed accounts of this.

WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 09:59, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

War, peace and energy[edit]

I have commented out the 3 lines at the end of the Astronomy section (too short; in wrong place; and 'Politics of nuclear disarmament' is not by Ryle, it is by his nephew Martin H Ryle). I have replaced these lines by a new section on 'War, peace and energy'. Alan-Cottey (talk) 17:17, 18 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
