Untitled[edit]

Trackmania is a great game but it needs to have at least an option so there is collision between cars. This would add to the gameplay greatly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.70.56.53 (talkcontribs) 28 February 2005

I don't think so because then on online play people can block the circuit up. • Thorpe • 13:41, 23 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Whether or not this is true or false (it's an opinion, so it's neither), this kind of thing isn't "information", so it shouldn't be (discussed) in Wikipedia. Please use the official forum for that. Retodon8 00:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More Info On The Community[edit]

We need more info on the community of TrackMania. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.18.183.86 (talkcontribs) 27 May 2006

As a start: A couple of links to a TMN team called Death From Above (DFA) DFA's home page DFA's server's offline stats —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sloth1974 (talkcontribs) 23 July 2006
Well why don't you write something then, but don't be so biased to DFA, lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.254.80.217 (talkcontribs) 19 October 2006
Those are external links to a random clan site, from the perspective of a random Wikipedia user. A list of clans will never be complete either, and won't add anything useful to this article either. See Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not for more on that. Of course it's OK to give information about the community in the article though, if you can think of anything that would add to the article's quality. Retodon8 00:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

UK Publisher[edit]

I think we should add "Deep Silver" as a UK publisher because Digital Jesters folded.--Dustyjo 20:24, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It should be Deep Silver for the games released under the DS label, but it should remain Digital Jesters for the older games. Otherwise the article would simply be lying. Retodon8 00:39, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the carpark and the mini trackmania[edit]

carpark requires a username and passowrd. Mini trackmania doesn't work. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Luminaflare (talkcontribs) 15 February 2007

Mini trackmania does work - I've played it - you just have to know where to look. (Not much point, though; it's rubbish. ;) ) Damo566 (talk) 08:40, 20 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Machinima[edit]

Can someone who is into TrackMania movies add a section about it to the machinima article? I think it would be great. --ZeroOne (talk | @) 16:45, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, why not? 'cept, where :/ Damo566 (talk) 02:51, 22 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removed portion of trackmania nation[edit]

Removed

"It was recently announced by the ESWC that TrackMania Nations now has over six million downloads, and is one of the most played online games today - on a par with games such as World of Warcraft."

because it is not true.

Even though the game was downloaded over six million times, the active userbase of the game has not been more than 10,000 simultanous users, not coming close to some of the actual most played online games of the world such as Counter-Strike, WarCraft III: The Frozen and StarCraft: Brood War which all have active userbases over five times that of trackmania nations at it's peak.[1][2]Zerter 20:07, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Trackmania.jpg[edit]

Image:Trackmania.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

What.[edit]

"The easier tracks are more fun. The tracks with vertical runs can be some-what frustrating and difficult to even complete much less master. The next TrackMania needs more jumps but; the current versions should be fun for most of the entire family." I officially declare this the most encyclopaedic piece of information on wikipedia, congratulations to the writer. Not really. I suppose this needs to be removed for POV (or something) right? Spacerat3004 (talk) 13:02, 23 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OMG. That is epic. 195.252.87.246 (talk) 19:38, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reception[edit]

Can someone add in ratings from, say, Metacritic and/or Gamerankings? Would be a bit more helpful than whatever "GameStar" is. 206.126.163.20 (talk) 02:28, 9 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal[edit]

I'm proposing that Trackmania United Forever be merged into TrackMania as the content overlaps, the former page is incredibly short, and it would be better understood in the context of the TrackMania article. Please discuss! tedder (talk) 12:55, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

File:TrackManiaDScover.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion[edit]

An image used in this article, File:TrackManiaDScover.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion for the following reason: Wikipedia files with no non-free use rationale as of 7 June 2012

What should I do?

Don't panic; you should have time to contest the deletion (although please review deletion guidelines before doing so). The best way to contest this form of deletion is by posting on the image talk page.

  • If the image is non-free then you may need to provide a fair use rationale
  • If the image isn't freely licensed and there is no fair use rationale, then it cannot be uploaded or used.
  • If the image has already been deleted you may want to try Deletion Review

To take part in any discussion, or to review a more detailed deletion rationale please visit the relevant image page (File:TrackManiaDScover.jpg)

Stadium not free[edit]

Maybe it's just something about the wording I don't understand, but doesn't it say that Trackmania 2: Stadium will be free? That appears not to be the case. --pred (talk) 21:42, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I assume it means "free roaming." --Jtalledo (talk) 22:50, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
