Makassarese words 22Feb2006[edit]

Added some words learnt from travelling to Makassar - Tony Krauss, Australia

Fixed up the words added above which had some non-standard spellings - Anthony Jukes, North Sulawesi

The word Billa = far away should be Bella - Adi Putra, born, raised and lived in makassar for 17 years. Oh can also add "jangang = chicken", "Lompo sala = childish, not mature" " Juku' = fish" "tette'= applying to time, as in Tette' rua means 2 o'clock (rua means two in this context)" "solong= melting" "tado'do= sleepy, half asleep" "tindro= asleep" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.62.26.155 (talk) 16:02, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Lontara script is unreadable without the correct character set and "battu ke mae ko ?" or "where have you been ?" has been removed from the list. I am agrieved. - Tony Krauss, Australia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.53.226.17 (talk) 22:00, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
