Heyo, folks. This is the talk page of Reene, so feel free to leave me a message below. Please note that I do not respond on this page but directly on the talk page of the person that left the message unless more than one person is engaging in discussion with me about the same topic. Also note that I reserve the right to remove comments that are patent nonsense or purely inflammatory in nature. Thanks!

Wiki wiffle bat[edit]

I'd be delighted to accept. Hope you had a great break. Dr Zen 23:18, 12 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Thanks very much, Reene. I very much appreciate the compliment.Dr Zen 06:42, 10 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Everyking mediation[edit]

I hope that mediation will work for you but if it doesn't and you decide to take it further, please let me know with a note on my talk page, because I'll be glad to certify the dispute. I too have tried to work on the page and Everyking has reverted my edits and simply blocked any constructive editing.Dr Zen 23:14, 23 Dec 2004 (UTC)

RfC against Everyking[edit]

I have filed an RfC against Everyking. Those concerned who have participated in this debate can certify it, while those who agree with my summary of the dispute may endorse it. If you've been involved in similar disputes (i.e. Autobiography promotion and publicity, La La (song)), feel free to add your own summary in the outside views section. You can endorse more than one summary, and still can certify the dispute. Johnleemk | Talk 19:14, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

I've filed an arbitration request against Everyking. Please comment; brickbats for my foolhardiness are more than welcome. Johnleemk | Talk 07:52, 16 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Looking at the edit history, your misquote seems to have been bitten by a bug. Susvolans (pigs can fly) 10:34, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Yep. The database servers have been lagging, so if you make two edits in a short time you have to triple-check that the last set of changes has caught up. Annoying, but apparently it's going to be that way until the hardware situation improves. iMeowbot~Mw 14:37, 11 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Help desk question[edit]

Thanks for the response. I did actually find that after a bit more searching (forgot to delete the question afterwards), and congratulations on guessing that I would back off after reading the procedures. Khanartist 11:21, 2005 Jan 17 (UTC)

Tessaiga[edit]

Hi. It seems that you are enjoying some time away from wiki. That's good ^^ ~ =]

Just so you know, I have posted a request to revisit this topic at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (Japan-related_articles). Thanks. Your input (whenever you come back) will be appreciated. =) LG-犬夜叉 09:01, Feb 26, 2005 (UTC)

Reene??? Come back, kiddo. What do I have to do, award you your own wiffle bat? :) func(talk) 03:38, 20 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fauna (goddess)[edit]

Hi Reene! Can you please take a look at the merger at Talk:Fauna (goddess)? AFAICT, it's three articles referring to the same thing. Thanks! -- Perfecto Canada 00:25, 16 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not to be a whiner, but...[edit]

Let me start by saying that i absolutely love your image and great "Wiki Wiffle Bat" award. However, as long as the award is for logic, and rationality I feel it makes logical sense to point out that "Wiffle" is a registered trademark of The Wiffleball, Inc, and its use in this "wiki wiffle" context is not technically Kosher. Might i suggest renaming the award to a slightly-different name which would then qualify as parody, such as the "Wiki Wiffel Bat" or the "Wiki Wifle Bat" or some such? Again, not to be a whiner, but I do think its inappropriate for wikipedia awards to break the laws themselves. I made this comment on your awards discussion page as well. -Lanoitarus 07:01, 7 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar, OTR & PUA Review[edit]

FYI. You may want to look and comment here: Wikipedia:Barnstar and award proposals/Proposed Changes. For your reference, the guidelines are referenced here: Barnstar Proposal Guidelines. Thanks -- evrik 18:25, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Since you haven't been around for awhile, I hope you don't mind, but I'm moving the wiffle page. evrik 17:26, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Inuyasha toushuu.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Inuyasha toushuu.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 16:47, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Reenesylverwind_greyscale.jpg listed for deletion[edit]

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Reenesylverwind_greyscale.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:Inuyasha_KannaMirror.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Inuyasha_KannaMirror.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 13:41, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
