What happened to them?[edit]

The team would fold in 1924, the remaining teams in the PCHA, Victoria and Vancouver joned the WCHL. This ended the PCHAOttawa4ever (talk) 20:51, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The PCHA/WCHL played an inter-league schedule starting in 1922-23. 1925-26 the WCHL dropped "Canada" from their name to become original WHL. When the western leagues folded most of the players were still under contract to the Patrick brothers who sold the players to NHL which became the cores of their new expansion teams. The Victoria Cougars became the Detroit Cougars (Red Wings). Portland became Chicago Blackhawks. Boston Bruins purchased remaining players to fill out team. This is a major reason those teams were so competitive so quick and beat existing NHL teams.Kav2001c (talk) 00:20, 11 July 2020 (UTC)kav2001c[reply]

First US Stanley Cup Winner[edit]

In most peoples view the Portland Rosebuds were the first American team to win the Stanley Cup. Multiple historic newspaper accounts exist of the game and Portland even has their name engraved on the Stanley Cup itself (can be viewed in Hockey Hall of Fame). Renovations[edit]

Thank you for undertaking the overhaul. The rendition of the logo is rather poor, IMO. I don't have any historical photographic references, but the banner hanging in Climate Pledge Arena has a very different layout to the typography.
