Plenty or Bounty[edit]

The article says the name was changed in the UK. This implies there are still a place where it's called Bounty.

Either add info on the Bounty brand or rephrase to "the brand was renamed" de-coupling the name change from the information on where it is sold. 213.66.219.48 (talk) 09:33, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

PLENTY IS NOT BOUNTY[edit]

There was a Wiki article for Bounty and it has been redirected in error to this page. Bounty and Plenty are different products - both paper towels - owned by two different companies. The story is this:

In 2007 Proctor & Gamble who make Bounty in the USA in 2009, sold their Bounty brand in the UK to Swedish manufacturer SCA on the understanding that SCA would rebrand Bounty (a brand name still in use by and owned by P&G) within a reasonable period of time. That time came and Bounty in the UK became Plenty manufactured by SCA. Bounty in the USA is still manufactured and sold by P&G.

In view of the above I will now attempt to separate these two different products and recreate the Bounty article. Fk27jh (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:28, 11 October 2009 (UTC).[reply]
