It's written here that Ray Charles died of kidney failure, but in the article on him the cause of death is liver disease. Somebody correct it.

aren't you going to fill it in? jimfbleak 12:23 19 Jun 2003 (UTC)

I believe this page has been Michaeled. Check the page history. Some of the information may be intentionally incorrect. Maximus Rex 02:18, 29 Jan 2004 (UTC)

This article needs to be locked.[edit]

It's full of incorrect information (notably, the "Tool will disband after their next album" under events). Way too many Michael edits.

Fix what you can, then; we can't protect an article on something like this just because of a few bad edits. Everyking 16:52, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Albums Released[edit]

Is this really necessary? The list is obviously far from complete; I think compiling a list of all of the albums released this year would be devilishly difficult to compile; it's just not worth it. Matthew McVickar 01:36, Oct 18, 2004 (UTC)

Because of the excessive size of the page, I've taken out albums where there is no article for either artist or title. It seems to me that these must be pretty obscure not to have acquired an article by now. Deb 18:04, 12 Mar 2005 (UTC)
I've been going through every year since 1955, I notice there are a lot of duplications. Sometimes an album is listed three years running in Albums released which is totally ridiculous and unnecessary. Once is enough. Unless there is an article first for either a band/artist and album released editors should not add "empty" links to the list - the sea of "red ink" looks unprofessional and untidy. Consistency?[edit]

How does one decide what year an album gets listed? I ask because Snow Patrol's "Final Straw" is listed in the 2004 section when it was released in 2003 in the UK. What's the convention on this, are we using US release dates only, or the first existence of an album? --Badlydrawnjeff 14:58, 23 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hot 100 Number One Hits of 2004[edit]

In what chart? If no-one says, I'll delete it. Average Earthman 08:04, 10 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, 15 days and no-one knows. I've deleted it. Average Earthman 11:02, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
    • I believe the Hot 100 was the Billboard's Hot 100 hits. I believe the Top Hits section needs to be reorganized into something like the ones for the 2005 and 2006 articles. (Tigerghost 08:18, 4 June 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Top Selling Albums[edit]

There's a top ten list, but no statement of if this is worldwide or one market, or who measured it. Anyone know? If nobody does, I think we should delete it on the grounds of being unverified. Average Earthman 19:41, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This link has the same list [1], it says it's from cnn.com, but cnn's link is dead. Eivindt@c 22:26, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Where's American Idiot on the top selling list? It's sold over 6 million copies in America. And on the article for "Under My Skin" it claims the total album sales in America to be only 3 million. Here it lists 6 million. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.239.55 (talk) 20:44, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dead link[edit]

During several automated bot runs the following external link was found to be unavailable. Please check if the link is in fact down and fix or remove it in that case!
