Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/German citizens responsibility in WW II

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Very, very, very POV. I'm not sure that it would be possible to do a sufficiently NPOV rewrite. There's some hints at this sort of material under Holocaust already (but more factual), so the information may not be necessary or even useful. Aranel 18:37, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • An intersting topic that might deserve an article, but in its present state, irredeemably POV. It would probably be better to start from scratch and not have this rant in the edit history - Delete. -- Ferkelparade π 19:01, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • I am not denying any responsibility of the German people, however this article is a very simple accross the board accusation. This topic is far more complicated than that. Yardcock 20:51, Aug 17, 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: There are many interesting accounts emerging now, and some neat studies being done, of various citizen groups and how much they knew about death camps and the like, but such nuanced, balanced, and specialized information never overreaches and claims "German citizens" or anything as horrific as "responsibility." Awareness is not responsibility, as responsibility requires power. Geogre 23:39, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. No useful content, borderline title at best. Contributor has made one other contribution, which looks credible but should perhaps be double checked. Andrewa 03:51, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
    • Comment on user's previous contribution: looks like subtle vandalism to me. I've never heard anything about "homosexual motorcycle gangs" in connection to NS history. I've cleaned up the paragraph in question -- Ferkelparade π 07:29, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. Although this is a topic of great importance to Germany, this sort of rant isn't worth keeping. Average Earthman 12:18, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete this POV esay. A reincarnated version could use as references Daniel Goldhagen's Hitler's willing executioners: Ordinary Germans and the Holocaust but this can only be used as a reference when great care is taken. I have read his book and consider Goldhagen's scholarship flawed and misguided.
