Same-sex Marriages

Hello. My name is Eric. My spouse, David, and I have been married since July 6, 2002. However, we do not have a state-issued license because who we are "is not acceptable." Anyway you look at it, this is discrimination. We are expected to support and contribute to society, yet we are deprived of many state and federal rights. We would not be able to see one another if a health emergency arose. We could not receive Social Security benefits if one of us passes.

This must and will change.
