"BMW Sauber", "Sauber" or "BMW"?[edit]

This team has been treated as a new team in this article. And I agree it. However, there is contradicted information, and I'm confused a little.

Case to include participation as Sauber

No, I think this year's season should be covered in article Sauber and BMW Sauber be an article for the years the team was a BMW works team. The only reason for keeping 'BMW' in the name for 2010 is a technicality. John Anderson (talk) 14:35, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

On the Sauber web site it states as BMW Sauber C29 chassis - [1]. The stats should count towards the BMW Sauber team, as for 2011 the chassis will be Sauber and therefore the stats will continue for Sauber. The official name chassis is BMW Sauber for the moment [2] Andreasu

Disambiguation[edit]

I noticed that several users have edited the Sauber article whilst seeming to assume that it includes the 2006 BMW Sauber team. I have therefore put a disambiguation template in the Sauber article.--Diniz 13:22, 23 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Robert Kubica[edit]

Robert Kubica didn't replace Jacques Villenueve until the Hungarian Grand Prix. He was then confirmed for the remainder of the season

BMW Motorsport[edit]

BMW Motorsport currently redirects to BMW Sauber, which I feel is a mistake. BMW Motorsport has many years of motorsports activity outside of Formula 1, including it's various sportscar and touring car efforts. I think that BMW Motorsport deserves its own seperate article since almost none of its history is actually discussed in BMW Sauber. The359 03:21, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

B-Class[edit]

Having had a look at some of the other current teams, although it meets the B criteria as listed, there seems to me to be a clear difference between this article and, say, Scuderia Ferrari or WilliamsF1. Downgraded to 'start' in comparison.4u1e 18:55, 1 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Both BMW in Formula One#BMW Sauber and Sauber#The BMW era (BMW Sauber, 2006–2009) contain about the same amount of coverage of the 2006-2009 period (in fact, I think much of the text is identical), so it's debatable which is the better target for the redirect.
