How about Scott and the Honours of Scotland?

And just who is the lady from Elgin, referred to in an incident that seems to have been an election day mishap?FlaviaR 06:35, 25 July 2007

Lady Anne Margaret Grant: search for "born 25th July, 1764" in this document for the full thrilling tale. . dave souza, talk 08:41, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Turned people away from Radicalism??? WHO says? Good lord. Because he wore a stupid kilt it changed people's basic political beliefs? I DON'T think so!

Prebble says, and for your thoughts to appear in the article you have to present a reliable published source giving verification of your assertions. dave souza, talk 08:41, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Congress of Verona.[edit]

Any chance that should be the "Congress of VIENNA"? JF42 (talk) 06:50, 20 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prebble consistently refers to George in 1821 hoping to go to the Congress of Nations in Vienna, but the Congress of Vienna evidently was in 1814–1815. The sources I've found so far indicate that the 1822 equivalent was the Congress of Verona, as indicated in our article on that subject. From this source a July 26, 1822 letter says "It was yesterday determined that Lord Londonderry should attend the Congress at Vienna, upon which subject strict secrecy was recommended", but there is subsequent reference to agreement reached by the "the Allied Sovereigns at the Congress of Verona".[1] Possibly the two got mixed up by correspondents at the time. . dave souza, talk 20:15, 21 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
