Untitled[edit]

Cleanup[edit]

Over the next couple weeks I plan to cleanup this and related pages. The two biggest changes I plan to put into effect are the combining and thinning of the music pages, either into their own page or to be added to the media page, and splitting off the episodes from the media page. FYI, the media article no longer has any info on the Anime. That doesn't bother me too much, except that there is mention of an OVA and with the episode listing there is really no additional information on it. Is the movie the OVA (the article implies otherwise)? If not, is there a region 1 release of the OVA? -- Argel1200 (talk) 01:14, 15 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I'm having less time to work on this than I anticipated, and figuring out how to do some things was more difficult than anticipated. I should be done in another week or so, with the anime segment added back in without the listings. As to your question; The movie is separate from the OVA. The OVA is basically an extra episode from the perspective of Quon that fits between episodes 13 and 14, whereas the movie was a full fledged theatrical release that retold the series. RX & Eva[edit]

Blue blood source[edit]

Strictly speaking, this is about NGE, but notice it's from 4 years or so before RahXephon - despite its uncanny similarities to RX (lead character kills his blue-blooded girlfriend? hm...). It would be remarkable if RX had all those similarities and didn't draw on this director's movie. I eventually found an official source about this from the Platinum Booklets. The Gainax commentary specifically says it was a bow to Blue Christmas (film).
Unfortunately, because RX was not as popular as Eva, it is likely that there will never be any Word of God on RX's blue blood also being a reference to Blue Christmas. So it goes. --Gwern (contribs) 02:50 18 March 2011 (GMT)

Why was this text in the article?[edit]

I found some text that may not belong in this article so I am leaving it here.

Rahxephon[edit]

I just noticed that it is spelled "RahXephon" on US/UK DVD boxes, but never on Japanese material. I would definitely side with the lower-cased 'X' in this case. 174.111.86.22 (talk) 02:47, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The burden is on you to show that it should be renamed. The capital X is prevalent; I took a gander in Google Books, and the novel? It credits the 'RahXephon Project' on page 9. How does Amazon list half its merchandise? With the capital X. And so on. --Gwern (contribs) 16:40 30 March 2011 (GMT)
