Other things I forgot[edit]

Hi! My name is Matt Fisher. I was born July 1, 1987 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. I joined Wikipedia in April 2005, though I have used it since November 2002 as an anonymous user. While I am a student in a program in college, here are some political issues I specialize in:

Also of note: I am actually a non-practicing Christian, affiliated with the United Church of Canada. (I still think that government has no business in religion, and I will not want to see Canada become a theocracy.)

I should emphasize that this page is to be undergoing some renovations, which I have already started. One thing I point out is that I believe my use of userboxes lately has been quite liberal. I mean, sure, it's fun to do it, but what the fuck do I know? I support a true Democrat, Ned Lamont, over Softie-crat Joe Lieberman in the Senate election in Connecticut, and in the Senate election in Pennsylvania, I support Bob Casey, Jr. over "Tricky" Rick Santorum. (My play on Richard Nixon's nickname for Santorum used.) Oh, and "Softie-crat" is my nickname for Joe Lieberman, because I think he and much of the Democratic Leadership Council are too much of softie-types on right-wing Republicans!

I do not support George W. Bush, "Dick-Head-of-Government" Cheney (as Jack Huberman nicknames him in his books I have copies of at home), Donald Rumsfeld, Karl Rove, and the George W. Bush administration. This summer, I worked in a temporary job in the library of the Canadian Human Rights Commission. (I hope Bush doesn't bomb the shit out of Iran, as much as I believe in a democratic Iran. I believe that it's not good to "impose democracy with a gun", as some people would say.
