Is that right? I remember Get That Feeling Jimi Hendrix (and Curtis Knight) album (Capitol Records – ST-2856,1967) where Hendrix plays wah-wah pedal.
"Lamp" is definitely not Hendrix's first recorded use of a wah. Whoever wrote that is embarrassingly unfamiliar with Jimi's recorded output. It was used on the "Axis:Bold As Love" track "Wait Until Tomorrow". Maybe he used it with Curtis Knight even prior to Axis, I don't know. - A quick look at the "Burning of the Midnight Lamp" article, Jimi Hendrix discography, etc. would have answered this. "Lamp" was recorded July 6–7, 1967, and was released as a single on August 19, 1967. Axis was recorded May–June and October 1967, but was not released until December 1, 1967 ("Wait" was completed October 25). Hendrix's first recordings using wah-wah with Knight were on July 17, 1967, and first released on a single October 18 and December 13 on Feeling. So, "Lamp" preceded them all. Do you have a reliable source that "Wait" has a wah-wah? —Ojorojo (talk) 13:57, 3 May 2017 (UTC)
