Hello, welcome to Wikipedia. Here's some tips:

  • You can introduce yourself on the new users page.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes, like ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • Remember to use the show preview button before you save a page.
  • If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page.

Other useful pages are: how to edit, how to write a great article, naming conventions, manual of style and the Wikipedia policies.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Angela. 18:06, Mar 27, 2004 (UTC)

Dominican Republic[edit]

Hi. I reverted your merge of Demographics of the Dominican Republic into Dominican Republic for several reasons. Most importantly, WikiProject Countries has established a template for articles on countries, which calls for a separate Demographics of the Dominican Republic. That doesn't mean that every article on countries has to follow the same format, but exceptions should be made only for exceptional cases and only after discussion at Talk:Dominican Republic and Talk:Demographics of the Dominican Republic. • No problem. This needs removing from the Duplicate Articles list , then. I take it those requests aren't moderator-approved... ;) Umeeksk 00:31, 4 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
  • No, entries like that are not moderated, although, as with any page, any user (not just admins) can check an edit someone else makes, and revert it if there is something wrong with it. I've removed it from duplicate articles now. Angela. 01:04, May 4, 2004 (UTC)

Welcome to the project. Good to have you on board.

I have made a minor alteration to the participants table by adding a "Primary club" column (not all future participants are likely to support Wednesday as their "first" club. I have assumed that you are a fellow Owl. If not please correct this on the table.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:SheffieldWednesdayEmblem.PNG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SheffieldWednesdayEmblem.PNG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 05:44, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
