Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Universe Today, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 203.56.233.122 (talk) 03:21, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hello Matthew kokai,

Although you've been a member for a while now, I just thought I'd let you know of some links you might find useful. I see you've already discovered Australian Collaboration of the Fortnight, so you might like to also check out other Australian resources, like The Australia Wikiportal, Australian Wikipedians' Notice Board, New Australian Articles and Australian stub articles. You can list yourself at Australian Wikipedians.

If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page.

Again, welcome.-- Cyberjunkie TALK 11:11, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

AID[edit]

If you have time, please take a look at my concerns about the Article Improvement Drive nomination of Cold War posted here. Thanks. 172 23:23, 18 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't remove templates such as {{wikify}} without doing the required work. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:02, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm afraid that you haven't quite understood how a Wikipedia article should be presented; the link to Wikipedia:Guide to layout (on the {{wikify}} template) should help. On Blues for Salvador, the only article text is: "Dedicated to Carlos' son, Salvador."
On Brandon C. Rodegeb, your wholesale reversions include adding unnecessary headings, mislinking San Francisco, California, removing the link to Vallejo, California, using the abbreviation "CA", etc. With regard to English and style, you've reverted to the ugly multiple use of "at an early age" (which were the last four words of three consecutive sentences).
Before insisting on having your own way, it would be a good idea both to look at how other articles are written and presented and to read the basic Wikipedia advice on how to edit. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:10, 25 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You helped choose {{subst:IDRIVEtopic article}} as this week's WP:ACID winner[edit]

Thank you for your support of the Article Improvement Drive.
This week {{subst:IDRIVEtopic article}} was selected to be improved to featured article status.
Hope you can help.

You voted for Hydrosphere and this article is now the current Science Collaboration of the Month!
Please help to improve it to match the quality of an ideal Wikipedia science article.

Your time zone information on your user page[edit]

I notice that you are in Australia.

I thought that I should mention that your time zone is actually GMT+10, not GMT-10, and the correct template is GMT10. Figaro 01:29, 20 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:Nazareth-college-melb-logo.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Nazareth-college-melb-logo.gif. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
