This says the plural of deme is demoi, but then the article uses demes as the plural. That suggests that demoi is the plural only in Greek and not also in English, and therefore I wonder what the singular is in Greek. Could it be demos? If so, the article misleads; it should be clear about what's Greek and what's English. Michael Hardy 00:20, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It is demoi; I was just sloppy when I wrote it. I've fixed it. --RobthTalk 06:58, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The category associated with this article is demoi, but the article no longer uses or even explains this word. --RichardVeryard (talk) 22:35, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Font[edit]

I'm sure there is some obvious reason for this, but why is the font on this page different from the that of other wikipedia articles? It just seems weird, but I don't want to change it if there is some reason for it. Its been fixed.

Modern Greek spellings[edit]

All the deme names have been given with modern Greek accentuation (and often spelling), e.g. Ερεχθηίς, instead of Ἐρεχθεῖς. The demes in the formar this article is concerned with were spelled in the latter way, and the entry should reflect this. Ajcee7 (talk) 23:21, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
