Hello, thanks for your work on the Terrence Malick and Nick Drake articles. If you could capitalize sentences and put spaces between them also, that would be great though.  :-) --KQ

that's because i'm new/lazy/impatient but i should figure it out soon :) )

Nick Drake[edit]

Hello,

I see by your User Page that you are a student at UC Berkeley. I am a grad school alum of Berk (granted a while back).

I am doing some rather extensive research in preparation for what I hope to be a major work on the subject of suicide; the goal of the work: prevention through understanding. A large focus of the work will be various cultures’ attitudes toward a person who is reported to have died this way.

Presently, I am reviewing the Wiki Articles that involve suicide, and came across the Nick Drake entry. In the Article you wrote, “The coroner concluded that the cause of Drake's death was suicide,…” I realize you created the Article in 2002, but do you remember where you learned this?

I have read much about Nick Drake, and what I have read lends credence to the possibility that he did, indeed, commit suicide. The emotional recall of family and friends of a person who may have taken their own life (and the guilt it may produce) is notoriously unreliable in determining the facts of a person’s death.

Regards,
