Commentary[edit]

Nashvillians almost uniformly hate this movie; it makes Nashville look so hayseed and as if the county and gospel music industries are about all there is to the city. It is nonetheless extremely well-photographed and "I'm Easy" is one of the all-time best songs from a movie and rises above that often-mediocre genre. Rlquall 02:45, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

How is this a "technique"?[edit]

Barbara Harris as 'Albuquerque'[edit]

Does anyone have a clue why is Barbara Harris listed as "Albuquerque" (instead of Winifred) on the IMDb's Nashville page? --Wayfarer (talk) 15:55, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

She's listed as "Albuquerque" in the movie's closing credits. Probably that was the character's name in the original script. A lot of the film was improvised, ignoring the script. Possibly the actor playing her husband decided that "Winifred" was a better name for her and used that - and the director decided to keep those portions of the film.
