Needs improvement[edit]

Unwikified, badly written article about a film. - Mike Rosoft 13:31, 16 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

"Spun" & crystal[edit]

I believe "spun" actually refers to the psychological state of a user who has been tweaking for many days. Auditory and visual hallucination due to amphetamine psychosis. JP

Spun could also be one who is under the influence of methamphetamine -- Whenever I use speed, (usually smoking crystal meth) I consider myself spun, especially since I stay up for days on end (like the definition above). Though I smoke excessive amounts of meth, and pretty soon I might start injecting meth.

Just want to say that is not me, ^^, it's not tagged with a user's name unless it is also, "JP" anyway. Just a technicality, but "The movie is essentially about crystal methamphetamine addiction," should probably read, is about methamphetamine, or is about crystal meth. Because the word crystal is not part of the name of the drug but is instead merely part of slang, I think it should be dropped. the creation of the term crystal meth is that, methamphetamine as it is used in the recreational world is in its crystalline solid form, but the form does not change the drug, so saying crystal meth is not only extraneous but its not even correct nomenclature. Yet, for posterity's sake, I decided to discuss before alteration because I understand that the movie is more about crystal meth then it is about methamphetamine so perhaps the dropping of the crystal is incorrect.--71.192.43.187 04:42, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You people need to develop some other interests. Maybe go for a walk outside? I would also say it would be best to leave the meth at home.

I added some additional content to this page, hopefully taking it out of the stub catagory. Its been a long time since I've seen this film so I couldn't give it a detailed plot. MoonKnight52 18:32, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New addition --- Actually methamphetamine is commonly available in both crystal and powder forms, due to different manufacturing processes. The actual crytal variety is more sought by users as it is understood to generally have a high potency, while the powdered form is very easily "cut" with other similiar powders to increase the quantity, while respectively reducing the quality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.222.128.82 (talk) 14:42, 15 May 2010 (UTC) Edited for spelling by poster.24.222.128.82 (talk) 14:46, 15 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Cook[edit]

His last few lines before he parked the car with Ross sleeping in it indicated to me that he was in some way responsible for his death. Has anyone involved with the movie ever indicated whether his death was an accident or suicide? Dannysjgdf (talk) 15:06, 12 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My interpretation of the ending is that he commited suicide. I think that it lies between the lines.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.162.15.222 (talk) 23:03, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I consider it an accident. A lesson about the dangers of home made drug labs? Portillo (talk) 07:24, 10 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the cook killed himself. Because he says that his mother should've just killed him, i think thats also why he offers the other guy six months of dope jus so he can drive him to that trailer. The Cook says that when he was younger he had a dog and it had a litter of puppies. When the puppies were born he said he went into the bathroom where his mom was killing all the puppies and he asked his mom why and she said shes just killing what she cant take care off. Then she looks at him and said i wish i could do that to you. I honestly think that quote is messed up and sad, but at the same time it makes sense and its true. If you cant take care of it you may as well give it away or kill it. I think The Cook killed himself because he was sick of life itself. It is a lesson about drugs and thats why i like this movie, it teaches you what drugs do to you. But its each and every persons experience with it. I liked this movie a lot. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.176.81.22 (talk) 14:27, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Summery - No Spoiler Warning[edit]

Hey, I do not have a Wiki account, and I do not know how to format in a spoiler warning alert, but I am dissappointed that the original creater(s) did not include one. The plot section for this article contains a detailed summery of the movie, hence it should be advised to readers before proceeding that it does so. Thanks, hope to see a change next time I look. P.S just want to say that I am very rarely encountering mistakes and overlooks such as this lately, and would just like to say great work to all the contributers!

Production[edit]

There needs to be more info on the film's production, other than a statement about it's production time. Info about budget, cinematography, who did the animated cutscenes, etc. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.235.32.32 (talk) 08:19, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
