Formal request has been received to merge: 2020 Boston Marathon into Boston Marathon; dated: June 2020. Proposer's Rationale: The 2020 marathon will not happen and there is already a section in the merge target talking about the cancellation, similar to how 2012 New York City Marathon redirects to New York City Marathon#2012. ~108.21.244.229.

§ Discuss here. GenQuest "Talk to Me" 10:58, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support it's an event that isn't happening, and so does not require its own article. It can be adequately covered in a few lines in the parent article. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:15, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • support not so detailed article that it couldnt be covered here. Pelmeen10 (talk) 11:44, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose merge arguably the cancellation adds to the notability of this years event, making it another notable piece of history and has increased early media coverage of it drastically. EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 04:25, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Do you have sources to support that the coverage is more notable this year? Joseph2302 (talk) 19:05, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support the very definition of a "non-event". Johnbod (talk) 18:02, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Qualifying items[edit]

Can someone please check the Qualifying Times section? It currently says the requirements were tightened twice, for the 2013 and 2020 races, to the same times. There is also repeated information that needs tidying up. Thanks. Timothy Cooper (talk) 10:14, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
