Elevation[edit]

When I was a child growing up in the Salt Lake City area the elevation of Kings Peak was always given as being 13498 ft. After college I moved to northern California for 15 years. When I returned Kings Peak had grown to 13528 ft. One wonders what happened. Was the original value a surveying error? Has the peak actually grown in size due to earth movement?

I know there was an adjustment a few years ago, but I thought it was less than 10 feet, and it happened to many peaks all over the US. I wonder if there have been more adjustments. Glennfcowan 14:58, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Apostrophe?[edit]

Where did the apostrophe come from? None of the references or external links use an apostrophe. Seems like WP:OR to me. —hike395 (talk) 11:04, 30 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
