Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Glossary of matrix theory

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Glossary of matrix theory was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was DELETE

Not really a glossary at all, it has languished for over a year with no significant content; apparently a pressing issue needs to be decided before work can begin. It seems to me that its existence might actually be preventing the development of a glossary, since it leads readers/linkers into thinking that (a) there is a glossary there, or (b) a discussion is going on somewhere to decide what to do with the page (which, as far as I can tell, has not been the case). A red link on the title and a listing on Wikipedia:Requested articles might do better to encourage development of this glossary. - dcljr 09:34, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I think this can be deleted - list of matrices is an adequate substitute. Charles Matthews 09:47, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: no content, not needed. Wile E. Heresiarch 18:24, 25 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. A category for matrix math might not be a bad way to provide similar pointers though. --Improv 07:42, 26 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Neutral. I am the creater. I just want a unified approach to all branches of mathematics. We have glossaries on topology, linear algebra, ring theory, group theory, etc. Maybe delete it now and let me create a real article later when I have more free time. --wshun 01:19, 29 Oct 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
