Me[edit]

I'm actually pretty dull. i sit on the dinkputer all day and irc. occasionally i'll spew something interesting/important to #gnaa. i didn't really participate in the macrumors troll because it was carried out by a senior operative. Goat-see 05:29, 30 Jul 2004 (UTC)

GNAA[edit]

Do not disrupt wikipedia in order to make a point, however valid or invalid it may be. -- Ævar Arnfjörð Bjarmason 15:26, 2004 Sep 27 (UTC)

I would like to think that I'm keeping a cool head about this issue. If you feel otherwise, please feel free to point out where I am being disruptive. Thanks. Goat-see 15:34, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)

In retrospect, that edit was a bit over the top. I did lose my cool, for which I apologize sincerely. Goat-see 18:45, 27 Sep 2004 (UTC)

You have violated Wikipedia policy by reverting a page more than three times in 24 hours. If you continue to violate policy, action may be taken against both you and User:Wolfman. Additionally, I suggest you stop trolling on the VfD vote and performing other questionable actions. ugen64 02:07, Oct 2, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for informing me of this policy. I will try my best to not revert more than 3 times. Goat-see 08:27, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)

I love you![edit]

Why do you troll?[edit]

Why do you troll? What is the incentive? Do you really get "satisfaction" by trolling? I view trolling as boring at best. I really don't get it. PS: But I must admit, I do find some of them quite funny. Your "press releases" are fucking hilarious. But what's in it for you? (A man can't laugh at his own joke.) And also, most of the troll posts are really not funny. Just boring. And that forms the majority of it. Do GNAA people never engage in such non-funny trolling?

It takes a very strange sick and twisted mind to find trolling funny. I shipped with that particular model from the factory. Goat-see 28 June 2005 04:19 (UTC)

MIT[edit]

Do you attend MIT? ✈ James C. 03:56, 2005 Jun 4 (UTC)

No. Goat-see 28 June 2005 04:19 (UTC)

Last Measure[edit]

Firefox + Flashblock kills the new last measure. At least, I'm assuming that nimp.org redirect is last measure. Whatever abortion!adam@luna.tk was dumping to #london. (Incidentally, #london is a bunch of morons.) --Jack (Cuervo) 7 July 2005 11:54 (UTC)

Copland pictures[edit]

I read your recent note in the Copland article. I am trying to get the DR0 disk from my old company (actually I think I have a copy in my garage, but I can't find it). I am desperately trying to get the docs on the kernel. I wrote most of the Copland article and the NuKernel one as well, and I have a sinking feeling I may have improperly linked the two projects -- for instance, Apple had another kernel called Vanguard under construction as well, so it is no longer clear to me that the Copland kernel is NuKernel.

If you can find the docs on those disks relating to overall system organization and/or kernel API, could you shoot them to me?

I have a disk image of the SDK, wihich comes with a bunch of MPW crap and ResEdit 3.0 (which kinda sucks). Also, for what it's worth, both DR0 and DR1 boot up and say "Welcome to NuKernel" in the message window. So the Copland kernel is definitely NuKern. Goat-see 17:59, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Still alive?[edit]

I'm just pinging your page to see if you were still interested in posting the Copland pictures? I know I am! Maury 15:55, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That got lost somewhere over last summer. I'll probably have better luck doing it this summer, with all the extra hardware I got over the year. Goat-see 17:55, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

banned get[edit]

why hasn't this user been banned yet it's clearly a reference to goatse >_> —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.129.235.74 (talk) 02:55, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope that I don't seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: The users name is an reference to Goatse.cx, an obscene website and internet fenomenon, and a violation of WP:U username regulations. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your views, for instance, your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

There are several options available to you:

  • We can talk about it, here.
  • You can abandon the contributions made under this name and create a new account that meets our username policy and addresses the concern(s) noted above.
  • Or, if you want to keep your contributions history under a new name, then you should visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the instructions there.

If we can't resolve this on our own, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process. Thanks. MoRsE (talk) 22:10, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This account, Goat-see, has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your username does not meet our username policy. This block is only regarding your username—it is not a judgment of either you personally or your contributions.

Names should not be offensive, disruptive, promotional, misleading, or related to a "real-world" group or organization. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} on your user talk page. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Cirt (talk) 19:47, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
