Change Musical Artist infobox to Person infobox?[edit]

Yo-Yo Ma is a classical cellist, not a pop artist. For that reason I suggest we use Infobox Person, as this has fewer trivia fields and also less redundancy. --Klein zach 12:51, 5 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Absolutely. This is one of the worst bios I have ever read on a classical musician. It focuses on trivialities like TV appearances instead of on the artist. Inclusion of sister's info??[edit]

Out of curiosity, why is his eldest sister's info included along with Ma's in the Personal Life section. If she was married to someone that connects directly with Ma it would make sense, but this type of connection does not appear to be the case. Thoughts?THX1136 (talk) 19:01, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wife[edit]

Many articles say that his wife, Jill Hornor, is a teacher or instructor or professor of German literature at Harvard. This is not true, as can easily be verified on the Harvard web site. She was apparently a graduate student in German literature at Harvard, and a tutor at a House,^[1] but that's not at all the same thing. The official directory (including the internal version) agrees that no "Jill Horner" is currently employed by Harvard. FourViolas (talk) 22:53, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, that directory does show Jill Hornor (correct spelling) as an "associate of the Department of Music" (whatever that means). But there's no reason to include that detail in the Yo-Yo Ma article. --Macrakis (talk) 16:59, 14 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
