Ga Geologically[edit]
Recently, while reading a paper on Geologic time and the age of the earth, I encountered Ga and wondering what it was, I came here, but did not find it. Perhaps someone could enlighten us?
At Sun it says that the sun is expected to live to be 10 Ga, but there is no mention of a period of time in this dis-ambiguation page. Can anyone add what Ga stands for when it refers to a period of time?? Georgia guy 19:55, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Ga means 1 billion years. Similarly Ma means 1 million years. I think we Ga (unit) and Ma (unit) pages. Tonderai 18:07, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)
