Bias[edit]

I'd like your opinion at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration. Thanks. Chameleon 12:10, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC)

The Humungous Image Tagging Project[edit]

Hi. You've helped with the Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax, so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, User:Yann/Untagged Images, which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for at at and the the, non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --Tagishsimon (talk)

Vote on Main Page intro[edit]

Hi Muntfish, there's now a vote on the new Main Page text. Drop by if you can! Ta, Dan100 09:37, Dec 26, 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for editing repeated words[edit]

Thanks for your work at User:R3m0t/Reports. Ignoring the fact that Gmail addresses are now dirt cheap and available on Wikipedia, I can offer you up to 3 addresses as token of gratitude (and showing off that I have those invitations ;)) If you accept (reply on the reports page please), make sure that you are accepting e-mails from the left link "E-mail this user". r3m0t 22:04, 9 Feb 2005 (UTC) PS hope you don't consider this spam like the other thing, ;) PS2 I see you participated in the wiki syntax project, eh? Maybe I'll run that.

Alan Turing.[edit]

Hello, yes I had a source for that statement. It is translated from the Dutch Wikipedia article about nl:Alan Turing:

(die tot 1998 in Engeland voor mannen strafbaar waren, en waardoor hij door de geheime dienst als een veiligheidsrisico in verband met de hem bekende staatsgeheimen werd beschouwd)

So, perhaps I should make the revert myself, Britain -> England. Thank you for your input. Gilliamjf 18:09, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Delta waves[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Delta waves, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Delta waves seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Delta waves, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
