Project-Based Learning[edit]

Removed this:

The school claims a unique learning environment because of its "Project-Based Learning". Daily assigments are replaced with periodic projects made up of components such as websites, PowerPoint presentations or photo essays.

The first sentence alone sent my buzzword detector off the scale, not to mention that there's something just not quite NPOV about the whole thing. That said, excuse me for remembering the excruciating number of PowerPoint presentations I had to do in my normal, non-descript school, and that websites are fairly commonplace in the assessment of computing-based courses. Article needs some good, solid, non-trivial information (i.e. more than simply name, rank and serial number), as otherwise it is just not an informative stub. Chris talk back 02:48, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's compatitble with NPOV because it's a claim and presented as such. It didn't make a balanced stub, but it did serve to illustrate something the school thinks is important about itself. Kappa 03:03, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
    • I'm sure that there's something somewhere saying that if something can't stand up without weasel words then it can't be NPOV-compatible, but never mind. I'm liking the new paragraph though. Chris talk back 04:20, 21 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The article is obviously much better than it was, and now seems to merit inclusion in Wikipedia. I still think it should be moved; "Technology High School" is kind of generic and could easily mislead people looking for a general concept. Suggestions? Hardwick 16:02, 23 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

As has been suggested somewhere on Wikipedia:Schools or Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools, including the name of the city and state where the school is located is a good way of disambiguating schools with common names. So this school would be moved to Technology High School, Rohnert Park, California. --BaronLarf 19:59, May 23, 2005 (UTC)

The page has been moved/renamed and got a major upgrade, I hope the work done on it can keep it from getting deleted. --Telon 10:08, May 25, 2005 (UTC)

I added a bit (okay, fine, I doubled the size of the article) hopefully nothing in it violates wikipedia standards. Anyone notice anything?

Adjusted formatting and cleaned up page to fit wiki standards. --Telon 8:44, July 7, 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Techhighlogo1.jpg[edit]

Image:Techhighlogo1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
