Arunachal pradesh has been shown here with China.Arunachal pradesh has been completely with India for about 4-5 decades and a fully democratically elected government is there at present.It is one of the 28 states in India.

The current wording "Taiwan, a few islands off the coast of Fujian..." implies that Quemoy and Matsu are not part of Fujian. I suggest "Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, and Matsu" (WTO style). --Ji ang 17:03, 23 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I believe a small note should be added saying the Government of Tibet in Exile claims more than just the area that the Tibet Autonomous Region covers.

Why? The purpose of the map is not to show the extent of claims of secessionist movements. The claims by India, etc. were added only because it was impossible to decide where to draw the borders. Those are last resorts, not the ends of the map. -- ran (talk) 22:30, 1 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder if we could change the title of the map from administrative divisions of the People's Republic of China to the administrative divisions of Greater China. Somehow that would make things a little more political neutral and would be more compatible with the China article.

I will confess that I am showing bias here, however. My father has an official PRC map on our apartment wall (we live in Taipei). I am VERY tempted to print out the Wikipedia map without the administrative divisions of the People's Republic of China title to suggest there is indeed a cultural civilization and region known as China, but the People's Republic of China doesn't control everything. Of course I could download and print a modified version of the png file, but I would prefer to print something that has the backing of the wikipedia. Allentchang 16:55, 14 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry but I think you are biased. The map is not intended to show different political parties and interest groups' different ideas of what China is, but to show administrative divisions and territorial disputes of the People's Republic of China (PRC) as the title suggests. - youknowwho 1:34, 4 August 2006 (UTC)
