Redemption Song

Contains not much more but the (copyrighted) song lyrics, and I don't hink there is much potential for an article here. Is there some sort of standard policy for articles about songs? -- Ferkelparade π 12:03, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)

• Delete Keep - if you remove the lyrics and the POV there's not much left. Changing my vote. There's some substance there now, but the lyrics have to go. What about including a couple of quotations from the song rather than a (bad) copy of the whole thing? Paul Tracy

• Well the article is not of to the best start possible by pasting the entire lyrics in there when there's not even any content. This gives the impression it's not gonna be much more than that. • Good luck editing it. I wouldn't have thought there was an article in it. The lyrics will have to go, surely? They are copyright. And the line "Redemption Song is seen as his final Masterpiece." - regarded by whom? Paul Tracy And I don't know where the lyrics came from but they're wrong. Paul Tracy

  • Comment: I usually try not to bite the newbies too hard :P When the article popped up on recent changes, there was nothing but the (copyrighted) lyrics - we get lots of these song "articles", and they usually don't grow anything beyond that.   • Comment: Not biting the newcomers should never encourage us to keep pages around that don't fit. What it should mean is that we should not be rude about peoples first edits and expect them to know the rules/traditions by heart as soon as they arrive.
